Energy Way workplace

The project brief was to solve the problem posed by the delicate equilibrium between the dynamic, innovative character of a young start-up company and the space it has adopted for its work – an ancient convent in the heart of Modena’s historic city centre. A selection of objects and furnishings, with lines that re-evoke post-war design principles, are scattered among the individual offices and communal areas. Natural materials and soft, rounded surfaces lend a domestic feel to the various interiors, creating warmth and welcome. On the ground floor, a system of solid, amenable furniture is installed which transforms the ancient convent into a venue for workshops and events.
